No Monkey-Business This....

I thought Symonds had taken it rather well..all the monkeying business that Indian fans had subjected him to. Guess I had over-estimated the Aussies...they have finally shown their true breed...uhh...colour...uh...is that racial?

For God's sake...you can cuss like a sailor on the field, go around saying the F-word as if it were a part of the cricketing terminology...but calling somebody a monkey is not done? Since when did white men get so racially insecure?!

Poor Bhajji...feel rather sorry for him...with his English...anything he says can be interpreted in 5 different ways...banning him would be abuse of sorts against him.

On a more serious note, everyone seems to be feeling rather let down by a team we looked up to for great cricket. Ponting, Clarke, Symonds...and sadly enough Gilchrist too...they are no longer our heroes. It is Cricket that has lost in the entire mess...the spirit of the game is just gone.

I don't know why it came as a surprise though...In the 2003 World Cup... the South Africans were quoted saying that the Aussies are nothing but a bunch of actors who've gotten down to playing cricket. Their extremely convincing and misleading appeals have been very much a part of their gameplan. The umpires however were not party to it earlier...unfortunately that's no longer true...The way Umpire Benson looked helplessly at Ponting as Ganguly stood his ground after being declared wrongly out, and then passed on Ponting's "out verdict" to our star batsman...he might as well have been a 12th man on the Australian team...it was ridiculous. Not to mention Bucknor (Last time it was Hair...sigh...endless torture).

And now Ponting has the guts to say that abandoning the tour would be "a little extreme"... Sure...Adding on 4 test losses wrongly to our record overseas would be alright, wouldn't it? Scoring centuries after being falsely declared not out a billion times and appealing like a maniac while holding the ball to the ground is perfectly alright, ain't it?

It kills me to see Ganguly walk out helplessly, mouthing "This is cheating" to a remorseless Benson, and Dravid grimacing "Not Again"...just when he looks like he's found his form...

Making dumb childish complaints against a bowler who you feel threatened from was definitely uncalled for from the so-called world champions. The ICC, having ignored our pleas, having overlooked evidence provided by India in the matter, having admitted that none of the umpires heard a thing and yet going ahead with the ban, and not having withdrawn the umpires who wronged us again and again...has proved that if there are any racists in the world of cricket...they will be found on their own Board...

Whatever the Aussies say and do is OK...they get verbal diarrhoea and talk crap incessantly...that's ok too...Is this some sort of immunity you win along with the World Cup or something?

Down with the Aussies and Down with the ICC. And hell with the tour.

PS: A certain Ms. Padukone does not seem to be having a very good effect on our Prince from Punjab....Amid all the controversies and wrong decisions...he managed to get out for a duck for real! Shame on him!

Rather thn blamin the oz, i think it wud b better to look at whr we r goin wrong... a hopeless opener..poor bowlin attack and out of form stars in yuvraj and MSD..

Sure the umpiring assured that India wud lose the match but please do not forget the areas whr we r goin wrong...bigger problem is Jaff's openin and yuvraj in middle order...we lack one fast bowler big time...

Solution is not in wall openin...but Sehwag openin with Jaff and Yuvraj sittin out...wall needs to play at number 3...We need solid battin up the order... Rather thn cryin bout SCG lets try to level the series and show the aussies tht India can fight back on the field...

Talkin bout the "villains" of SCG drama...lets try to imbibe the fightin spirit of symo and co...lets look at the brighter side...ozzies cheat, sledge and grumble (as they did at SCG) only whn they face stiff competition..and we hv provided stiff competition...so lets continue to fight the oz...as for messrs benson and bucknor...benson needs to go bk to umpires' academy of ECB and relearn the lessons... as for u Mr. Bucknor ...take some rest mon...its time u bid adios to the game...

C'mon India...lets fight at WACA and the Oval...C'mon...

Agree...totally...we are lacking in certain areas ( I mean...no excuse for losing in the last few balls in the last test)...but comeon...you can't keep ignoring these blokes...they are getting away with a lot of non sense because of their status in the cricketing world, and the fact that they have their men at the right places.

Even if they got insecure or whatever...this is no way to behave...and it's time the sub-continent stopped taking shit from these guys...high time..

Aussies are not a civil bunch.. they are rude.. and they have a tendency to provoke people...which is totally uncalled for...cricket is suposed to be a gentleman's game and they have changed the meaning of the game completely... true there mite be some verbal exchanges in the heat of the moment...but they shud be kept to the field....we were sportive enuf not to bring out the issues..they have put them on the table first...guess they being the champions is getting over their heads...!! We would have atleast drawn the test match if not for all the antics the umpires did....
i think the best way is to do away with umpires completely....!!!! we dont need a bunch of oldies who are not able to judge .... atleast they shud not be allowed to take any decisions of out/not out ... must be limited to giving wides n no balls...Give all the rulings to third umpire... or as in Tennis.. give the players a chance to contest the decison..each player must get 3 chances to contest...!!!

Looking at the kind of intensity the players show during the Indo-Pak matches now-a-days, and the recent interesting developments that have taken place, I am pretty sure, Oz are going to replace Pakistan as India's archrival at least on the cricketing field.

Oz are a bunch of shameless, blokes who are rude, absurd and who can do any kind of non-sense to prevent their false ego...

In my opinion, India should try to give a fitting reply to them only by playing. I did not like the attitude of the team this time. They also resorted to "Ozzz dom" this time... In fact, before the first test, it was the Indian team which was flying high. We have the ability and we should play quality cricket.

And like Saurabh said, Rahul should bat at No. 3. He is the wall and the team management should take that into consideration.

Thankfully, Sachin has clicked at the right time (touchwood). Hope this run contines and we show them that we can win...

But one good thing is that, Oz are scared of us.. that is quite evident.

If we manage to win the next two test matches, then I would say we won the series 2-1. I consider the last match to be a

CONTD...

If we win the next two matches, I would consider the series to be a victory by a margin of 2-1. According to me ( and all India supporters), we did not lose the last match.

Hail India! Chakde India!

@ Partha: The last test was null and void as far as I'm concerned...unfortunatley statistics will say otherwise...it'll be a real embarrassment if we lose to the Aussies now...considering we made it sound like it was only umpiring trouble that got us! (last test i think it was that though!)...We need to start performing as a team....totally agree...if there's anything that can get Australia to shut up...it is getting beaten BIG time..
